Asher was born in New York City, where his mother was an actress. His father, Ephraim M. Asher, was an associate producer of horror films. The Asher family moved to Los Angeles when he was ten years old. At the age of ten, he started working at Universal Studios, first in the mail room. Later, he began directing episodes of “Racket Squad” and “Big Town.” In 1952, he became the director of “I Love Lucy.” He remained with the show for five years, and became a director for a variety of other shows and films.

Bill Asher met his future wife Elizabeth Montgomery on the set of “Johnny Cool.” He and the actress were married in 1963. Asher was close with President John F. Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, and Elizabeth Montgomery. Asher and Montgomery were married for eight years, but separated in 1973. They stayed close friends for years, until the actress was diagnosed with cancer.
Bill Asher’s site combines traditional betting and sports betting. Bill Asher’s company, Monkey Knife Fight, has already penetrated California. The company recently announced a partnership with the AEG Galaxy and Kings, which will see its on-ice logo on the Staples Center next season. The company is now building brand recognition and promoting legal daily fantasy sports products.
